Delaware's Only ICR Program
Intensive Cardiac Rehab
noun. A Medicare-approved, 12–15 week lifestyle medicine program — medically supervised exercise, plant-forward nutrition, and stress management — clinically proven to reverse heart disease and reduce all-cause mortality by 11%.
Medicare & most insurance cover the full program. No referral needed to ask.
Why ICR Changes Everything
Heart disease is the #1 killer in America — but up to 90% of it is preventable through lifestyle. Surgery and stents treat the emergency. They do not fix the underlying disease. ICR does.
11%
Reduction in All-Cause Mortality
Peer-reviewed research shows ICR participants have significantly lower death rates from any cause — not just heart disease.
90%
Of Heart Disease Is Preventable
The science is clear: lifestyle changes — diet, exercise, stress management — can prevent and reverse cardiovascular disease.
72
Sessions of Expert-Led Care
Up to 72 sessions over 12-15 weeks with exercise physiologists, dietitians, and health coaches. Not a pamphlet — a transformation.

Email Us: Am I Eligible? The Science Behind ICR
Our program follows the Pritikin ICR model — backed by over 100 peer-reviewed publications spanning 40+ years of clinical research and recognized by Medicare as an approved Intensive Cardiac Rehabilitation curriculum.
Standard cardiac rehab focuses on monitored exercise. ICR goes further: it treats the root causes of heart disease through nutrition, stress reduction, and behavioral change. A stent opens a blocked artery; ICR works to ensure it doesn't block again.
The data is compelling. Participants show significant reductions in LDL cholesterol, blood pressure, body weight, blood sugar, and inflammatory markers. Multiple studies demonstrate reduced hospital readmissions and cardiac events.
Progressive Health is the only provider of Intensive Cardiac Rehabilitation in Delaware. Our team includes board-certified lifestyle medicine physicians, clinical exercise physiologists, registered dietitians, and certified health coaches.
